Civil Society Organization in Malawi under the Umbrella of Grand Coalition are planning to hold national wide mass protests if the President does not convene Parliament by March 10.
This comes barely a Week after the coalition called for the demonstration in Blantyre which attracted few demonstrators.
Lucky Mbewe , the spokesperson for the Organization said members of the coalition will be meeting over the Weekend to plan for the protests.
“We have observed that government is not willing to convene parliament to allow legislators discuss issues of cash gate among others so we will call for mass protests over the matter”, he said.
Meanwhile the CSOs have denied that last week low turn of protestors was a sign that people had lost trust in the organization.
