Malawi Congress Party, (MCP) Presidential hopeful Dr Lazarus Chakwera on Thursday paid a visit to Lilongwe vendors with an aim of appreciating the challenges that the vendors face as they are carrying out their businesses.
Chakwera visited area 13 market, Wenela restaurants, Area 3 market and Tsoka market where he bought Kanyenya .
John Banda was one of the lucky people who had a chance to talk to Chakwera and he was quoted as saying:
“People have trust in MCP, we need to come together as a party to rescue Malawians from the current mess”.
The party’s vice spokesperson Ezekiel Ching’oma said Chakwera decided to go around the town to interact and appreciate with what the Vendors are going through.
Chakwera’s visit to Lilongwe market comes second as the first one was by Democratic Progressive Party, (DPP) leader Peter Mutharika .
