With about less that 30 days before the country host the forthcoming tripartite election, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has postpone local government election for Ntcheu Kandeu ward and Machinga Lisanjala ward.
The development has arise because of the death of the candidates representing the two wards.
In Ntcheu Kandeu a United Democratic Front (UDF) representative Allan Wyson Chokotho died while in Machinga Lisanjala Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Dolophina Mwalanga also passed on.
Meanwhile MEC chief election officer Willie Kalonga in a statement, has assured the affected constituency that it will conduct by-election after the May election.
