The two football power houses in the country (Big Bullets FC and Mighty Wanderers ) can now have a reason to smile following the decision by Her Excellency Dr Joyce Banda’s commitment to assist the two clubs with K25million each.

Banda donated the money to the two teams yesterday at Sanjika Palace where she hosted the two clubs.

She further pledged to support the clubs as they are going commercial.

Speaking on behalf  of Bullets, chairman Kondi Msungama said he was grateful with the donation.

“We are very grateful to the President for her contribution to sports development. Our prayers have been answered because our coffers were dry.

“It’s like the heavy financial burden has been taken off our head”, said Msungama

His Wanderers counterpart George Chamangwa said he is very happy as the donation has come at the right time to the club.

“I am the happiest man and I know so do Wanderers fans for what the president has done for us,” Chamangwana said.

The two teams who have no sponsorship shared K25Million each.
