The Agriculture Green Revolution for Africa (AGRA) have introduced an e-farming platform that will integrate the value chain actors in the agriculture sector in the country and across Africa.AGRA market access programme officer Emma Kambewa said Wednesday that the platform, known as M-Farm, would help farmers share ideas and experiences with different players in the sector across the continent.
“This network would help farmers discuss different issues concerning their products and modern technologies needed in the sector,” she said.
Currently the organisation is doing some training on how to use the network in the country.
AGRA is a non-governmental organisation that works across Africa to help millions of small-scale farmers and their families lift themselves out of poverty and hunger.
It seeks to promote a green revolution on the continent by creating partnerships among players in the agricultural sector.
