Malawi national team the flames have received a morale boost ahead of 2015 Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) as Carlsberg Malawi has revealed its interest to sponsor the team for three years.
This is a sigh of relief to Football Association of Malawi (FAM)as it was running up and down in search for funds.
Twikale Chirwa who is the Malawi Senior Brand Manager for the company confirmed of the development by saying more details will be given on Thursday at Ryalls Hotel.
“Yes it is true that Carlsberg Malawi will be sponsoring the Flames. For the mean time l cannot divulge more information because we will reveal more details on Thursday in a private signing ceremony where the minister of Sports will be present at Ryalls Hotel,” said Chirwa.
Flames will starts the 2015 AFCON campaign with Chad at Kamuzu stadium on 17 May.
