Peoples’ Party (PP) official and state house aide Wakuda Kamanga has warned opposition parties to stop talking about rigging plans claiming that the PP government has no such plans.

Recently, the social media has been awash with various reports of rigging with some even outlining in detail how the rigging is to be done and which people are involved in the process.

The opposition parties have as well indicated that they have their doubts over the credibility of the Malawi Electoral Commission especially after the way it handled the voter verification exercise in the first exercise before it was suspended.

Kamanga has however said that all those allegations being made against the PP on rigging are baseless and the opposition parties should cease making them and just concentrate on their campaign.

Malawi’s elections will be tightly contested between the four major parties of the PP, MCP, UDF and DPP.
