Barely hours after the country’s vice President Khumbo Kachali reportedly met President Joyce Banda where he openly quitted being member of PP, the Vice President has made his decision known to Malawians.
Writing on his Facebook page, Kachali has said:
“Many friends and colleagues alike, have been texting and writing me, asking if indeed I have resigned from PP. Ladies and gentlemen, I CAN PERSONALLY CONFIRM THAT I HAVE RESIGNED FROM PEOPLES PARTY (PP) OF PRESIDENT JOYCE BANDA. As to the Party I will be joining, I will communicate soon and I mean very soon”.
Kachali’s decision to quit PP comes few days before the country host its first ever tripartite election on May 20.
