One can say that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has just energized United Democratic Front’s campaign.

The ACB has decided to return the fleet of cars it impounded from former President Bakili Muluzi who is also the founder of the UDF and father to the torch bearer of the party in the May 20 tripartite elections, Atupele Muluzi.

Information indicates that the bureau has decided to give back the cars to Muluzi it had impounded in 2007 after a fallout between former President Bingu wa Mutharika and Bakili Muluzi had led to the bureau questioning and charging Muluzi with corruption and bribery as well as abuse of funds.

As part of their investigations, ACB had come to the conclusion that they impound Muluzi vehicles which they have released now.

Said to be relying on his father, Muluzi might therefore find some relief in the cars that the ACB has given back to his father.
