Malawi Electoral Commission(MEC) has said the body is satisfied with the way politicians have conducted themselves ahead of Tuesday’s tripartite election.
Spokesperson for the commission Sangwani Mwafulirwa said cases of violence and use of foul language were only recorded in very few cases.
“If you look at the conduct of campaign for this election and compared to the ones we have had before, every stakeholder will agree that there has been a positive improvement.
“During this period we have even heard political leaders themselves come out in the open to condemn the use of foul language.” he said.
He however urged all interested parties in the forthcoming tripartite election to do the same even when results of the polls are out.
