Mzimba Pentecostal Church has dragged to court the country’s Vice President Khumbo Hasting Kachali and former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for tress-parsing during the joint rally held in the district.
Kachali and DPP held a rally in Mzimba on Monday where Kachali endorsed Peter Mutharika as Presidential candidate people should vote for on May 20.
The church claim that Kachali and DPP held a rally at their premises without their authorization and in the process they damaged the church foundation, water tap and the temporally church where members congregate.
Therefore the Church is demanding compensation from the damage caused and denting the CV of the church.
