Authorities have postponed reporters briefing until 6 o’clock this evening.
The press briefing was expected at around 3pm at Ralls Hotel in Blantyre but authorities have delayed it to 6 this evening without giving reasons.
Stakeholders and observers were expected to give their analysis on the way the voting has started.
The stakeholders are international observers led by European Union and local observers.
Meanwhile, local observers have appealed for calm especially in places where there was some irregularities in the morning.
However, the situation has been improving minute by minute as most of these areas started voting though not at their preferred time.
MEC Chairperson Maxon Mbendera is also expected to brief the press before 5pm on the progress of the elections.
This briefing is expected at the main tally centre at COMESA hall
