The Malawi electoral Commission (MEC) has said that the results it will release will not really be different from the results that the radio stations have been announcing as unofficial.
Mec commissioner Emmanuel Chinkwita Phiri was speaking at a press briefing a few minutes ago at the Mec national tally centre in Blantyre, COMESA hall.
Chinkwita Phiri accepted that there might be irregularities in the system which will see the nullification of 19,000 votes but the votes will however not affect the standards so far as they stand.
Meanwhile Mec has started streaming the results after receiving 30% of the total votes and will continue tomorrow.
