Malawi national team the flames will tomorrow Saturday face Chad in 2015 African Cup of Nation (AFCON) qualifying campaign second leg to be played in N’djamena.

Flames is going in the second leg while leading with 2-0 and is expected to defend the lead to progress in the next stage.

Speaking in an interview, Flames captain Joseph Kamwendo said the team is ready to defend the lead.

“We will guard jealously against the 2-0 lead and we want to win not to defend,” said Kamwendo.

Chad Coach Emmanuel Tregoat was earlier quoted in the Week as saying his side is in contention and can overturn the tables.

“It’s not done yet. I think, we can score goals here and go further. We are playing at home and our supporters will be behind us,” he insisted.

Malawi has never defeated Chad on their backyard.
