Barely two days after members of Alliance for Democracy (Aford) accused the party President Enock Chihana of selling the party to the former ruling People’s Party (PP) for personal gain, Former Aford Secretary General Khwauli Msiska has dumped the party accusing its leadership of losing track.
Msiska said this in a letter dated June 9 addressed to the party’s Secretary General.
“After a thoughtful and deep reflection of the party’s leadership status, i have come to a painful conclusion that the current Aford leadership has lost focus in terms of the core value of democracy upon which the party was founded. The party is virtually reduced to serving interest of an individual, putting itself at the mercy of a highest bidder.
“By resigning from the party, i am responding positively to the calls and appeals from party members and supporters country wide who are equally disappointed “, reads the letter in part.
On his part, Chihana the lonely Member of Parliament for the party said Msiska was free to leave the party.
Meanwhile Msika has disclosed that he will now concentrate on personal life.
