MSOWOYA APPOINTED AS NEW SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT

Malawi congress Party (MCP) Vice President Mr Richard Msowoya has been appointed as new speaker of Parliament beating Francis Kusaila of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Msowoya got 101 votes while his contender got 89 votes.
There were about 191 newly elected member of Parliament who took part in the election of speaker.
