President Professor Author Peter Mutharika has finally wedded his long time girl friend Gertrude Hendriana Maseko at a ceremony that was held at St Machaels and All Angels Church in Blantyre.

The offication started exactly 10am.

Among the notable people who graced the occasion includes; Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, New Labour Party President Mr Friday Jumbe, Malawi’s Vice President honourable Saulosi Klaus Chilima, George Chaponda, Henry Mussa, Patricia Kaliati who was also among the bridal party, Father Bonifes Tamani of Roman Catholic and others.

Speaking in an interview, MCP President said he was happy to be among thousands Malawians who witnessed the officiation of the Country’s President and wished the new couple all the best as they start a new life.

Meanwhile reception of Malawi’s First couple is currently underway at Ndata Farm in Thyolo.
