Mzimba West Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) honourable Harry Mkandawire has accused President Professor Author Peter Mutharika of practicing politics of regionalism in selecting Cabinet Ministers.

Mkandawire made the remarks on Tuesday morning at National Assembly during Parliamentary debate on the State of the national Addressed delivered by President Mutharika  in the August house on Tuesday last Week.

In his speech during his contribution on the State of the Nation Address, Mkandawire said three quotes of the Ministers selected to serve the Mutharika’s administration are from the Southern region which is the stronghold of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

He said this has a negative effect in the fair distribution of development country wide.

Mutharika released his final list of Cabinet Ministers in the wee hours of Monday fulfilling his promises of having 20 Member Cabinet.
