Following revelations by President Professor Author Peter Mutharika that the 2014/2015 budget is not ready and government will come up with provisional budget as it await the full National budget, Minister of Finance Goodall Gondwe is today expected to present the Provisional budget at the National Assembly.
The provisional budget to be tabled in parliament by finance minister will only be 30% of the next Malawi national budget.
In his speech, Gondwe said the Provisional budget will cover a period of two months which is July and August.
Mutharika in his National Address delivered last week in Parliament said the National Budget will be ready September and he wanted the budget to be lined to the DPP manifesto.
Meanwhile it is not yet known if the provisional budget will rely on donor aid or not.
