Police in Mchinji are hunting for unknown thugs who allegedly torched a woman to death at Chimwemwe estate at Mkanda in the district.
Police Public Relations Officer for Mchinji Sergeant Moses Kajawa Nyirenda confirmed of the incident.
According to the Police, the body of the Woman was discovered on June 26 at Chimwemwe estate pierced with a knife and later burnt to death.
Nyirenda said police failed to identify the woman as she was brutally murdered and people surrounding the estate said they do not know the woman.
The body of the woman was buried at the scene as it was rotten.
Meanwhile no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
