Prime minister of Norway Erna Solberg has disclosed that her government will invest not less than K6 billion which will be used in promoting girls education.
Solberg arrived in the country on Tuesday on a two-day visit. She further said that she is glad to note that President Peter Mutharika is in the forefront uplifting the lives of Malawi citizen through education. She cited the promotion of the a girl child at the grassroots level.
Mutharika has since described the cordial relationship that exist between the government of Malawi and the Kingdom of Norway as superb. He said this on Tuesday at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe during a press briefing he jointly held with his Norwegian counterpart.
The Malawi leader said that his government will continue to work together with Norway in the fields of agriculture, health and education.
