United States of America Ambassador to Malawi Jeanine Jackson recently visited Times television studios in order to appreciate the work of the new television station.
The Ambassador applauded Times Group for taking a positive step towards promoting development through the establishment of a privately run broadcasting house. Times Television estimate that they currently have about 700,000 to 1 million potential viewers.
Their own digital signals cover an area of about 40% of the country (about 4 million people in Lilongwe, Blantyre, and Zomba). Times TV is importing and selling UHF receivers so its content can be obtained over the air. It can also be viewed through a GO TV subscription.
