FULL PRESS RELEASE ON THE PARDON 403 PRISONERS

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security wishes to announce that it has pleased His Excellency the State President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to pardon 403 prisoners.
The 403 prisoners who have been pardoned are those who have served at least of half of their prison sentences, with good behavior and were not convicted of serious offences.
The pardon of the 403 prisoners is a symbol of forgiveness as the country commemorates its Golden Jubilee of independence.
