Barely three days after fire raised down offices of Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) in Lilongwe, report reaching Face of Malawi Indicates that fire in Mzuzu has gutted Mzuzu Market.
According to our source who rushed to the scene said, the fire started around 9pm yesterday just when some residents across the country were watching Germany beating Argentina in the just-ended football World Cup finals.
The fire has consumed half of the market made of timber, cartons and other ignitable materials.
The fire is the second of its kind in a space of two months after another that damaged property worth millions of Kwacha
Meanwhile the cause of the fire is not yet known.
