Reports reaching FaceofMalawi indicate that about 25 Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers are fighting for their lives at Zomba Central Hospital after a Tata they were traveling in was involved in an accident.

The accident happened at Changalume due to the break failure.

One of our source who visited the hospital discovered that more than 26 Soldiers were seriously injured and admitted to the hospital while 17 others have been treated as out patients.

When approached for comment, one of the Soldiers who confirmed of the incident said the accident happened due to loss of control by the driver after the brakes of the car developed some faults.

Doctors at the facility said most of the soldiers sustained deep cuts in their heads, back injuries and others have fractured their hands.

The past three months the country has registered an increase in roads accidents.
