As cases involving the plundering of Public funds at Capitol Hill dubbed cashgate scandal have returned to Court, High Court Judge Michael Mtambo has ordered the prosecution in the former budget director Paul Mphwiyo attempted murder case to start parading witnesses.

The parading of witnesses is expected to start this afternoon for following the Court decision to deny the prosecuting team an adjournment.

Lawyer Ralph Kasambara, Dauka Manondo, Pika Manondo, Macdonald Kumwembe and Robert Kadzuwa are ones being accused of the attempted murder of former Budget Director Mr. Paul Mphwiyo.

The accused persons in the attempted murder of Mphwiyo have pleaded not guilty to the two counts of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The prosecution has eight witnesses to strengthen their case among them Mphwiyo himself.

The plundering of public funds at Capitol Hill came to light when unknown thugs shot Mr. Paul Mphwiyo.
