Former Budget Director Mr. Paul Mphwiyo will today afternoon appear in Court to testify in a case where former Justice minister Ralph Kasambara and others are accused of attempting to kill him.

Lawyer representing the State on the case confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local media house in the country [ZBS].

High Court Judge Michael Mtamba last week adjourned the case to today after failure by State witness to show up in Court due to what they called ‘logistical problems’.

Former Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara, Dauka Manondo, Pika Manondo, Macdonald Kumwembe and Robert Kadzuwa are the ones being accused in the attempted murder of Mr. Mphwiyo.

The attempted murder of Mphwiyo led to the disclosure of the plundering of Public funds and Capitol Hill dubbed Cashgate.
