President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has returned from Zimbabwe where he went to attend the 34th Southern African Development Community (SADC) summit Heads of States and Government.

During the summit, President Mutharika presented a report, as outgoing SADC Chairperson, on the activities undertaken by SADC during the period under review as well as handed over the SADC Chairmanship to his Zimbabwean counterpart President Robert Mugabe.

This afternoon, Mutharika will hold a press briefing at Kamuzu Palace to update the media and Malawians on what has transpired at the summit.

Writing on his Facebook page, Mutharika has hinted that the briefing is for the journalist only.

This is the second International trip for President Mutharika since he ascended to the high office on May 20.
