Organisers of Airtel Rising stars (ARS) have rescheduled the games to a later date this year as a precautionary measure due to the Ebola outbreak in the west.
The games which were supposed to start this month end in Gabon and in which the Malawi national select squad were expected to take part in the games.
This is a second major competition to be rescheduled this year just after Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) also rescheduled Africa Cup of Nation qualifying games involving West African countries.
Malawi School Sports Association (Massa) vice president Severia Chalira confirmed of the development.
Chalira was also advised by Massa that the tournament will take place once things have eased in West Africa.
So far the players that were called into camp have since been released to their respective homes and that all preparations for the games have been suspended and will therefore resume once the tournaments dates have been confirmed.
