Michael is coming home is a book written by Mandela “Third Eye” Mwanza. Speaking to the author he said that the book was initially started by his father in 1996 before his stroke in 1998.

The 60 page, 12 chapter book talks about a boy called Michael (Mandela) who had been raised in England as a toddler, came back to his roots (Malawi) and has problems trying to fit into the society as he didn’t even know how to speak his home language.

The book also talks of how he has learnt to adjust to the society and his quest in trying to resurrect his countries culture via the book and Hip Hop music.

After his father’s stroke, he (Mandela) was persuaded by his dad to finish the book but at which time he thought he wasn’t good enough to finish his old man’s work. But now he is, after growing up as a talented man and considering his culture and his dads work, Mandela decided to finish the book after all.

Mandela’s late dad met up with Vic Kasinja who captured the photo on the cover of the book which shows Michael with his mom in England in 1987.

So far 1000 copies have been printed and are on the market and are being sold at MK2500

Mandela “Third Eye” Mwanza wishes to also write another book in the future. A book of Third Eye lyrics from his first four albums.
