Deputy Campaign director of former ruling People’s Party (PP)Ken Zikhale Ng’oma has resigned from the party and he has re-joined the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) he dumped.
Zikhale disclosed this during the first ever rally held by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in the northern part of Malawi since he was elected as President on May 20.
In a letter addressed to PP secretary General Paul Maulidi which FaceofMalawi have in possession, Zikhale said he was no longer a member of former ruling Party (PP).
“I write in submission of my resignation letter as a bonafide member of Peoples Party with immediate effect.
“I feel that Malawi as a country does not need so many Political Parties and that most political party’s ideologies are similar in nature. I personally could have loved if Peoples Party could have joined hands and worked together with Democratic People’s Party as they all belong to one family although having different species”, read in part the letter.
Zikhale Ng’oma is one of the political prostitutes in the country who have been seen jumping from one party to another seeking for fortunes.
He dumped DPP just barely days after the death of its leader Professor Bingu Wa Mutharika claiming that he want to assist government of the day.
FOM’s effort to talk to Maulidi on the matter proved futile as he could not pick up his mobile phone.
Meanwhile it’s not yet known if President Professor Peter Mutharika will accommodate Zikhale Ng’oma.
