National Speaker of Assembly Richard Msowoya, has adjourned Parliament to resume on Wednesday, 10 September 2014 to allow the Parliamentary Committee on Finance to thoroughly scrutinise the budget estimates for 2014/15 financial year.
Finance, Economic Planning and Development Minister Goodall Gondwe presented the financial statement Monday afternoon.
Leader of Government in the House Francis Katsaila requested the Speaker to adjourn the House and give members of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance about five days to scrutinise the budget.
