M-Net and Endemol SA, organisers of the popular reality show Big Brother have revealed that they have finally secured a new house to stage the ninth season of the show dubbed Big Brother Hotshots.

The popular reality show was supposed to be launched this Sunday (September 7) but it has been postponed following a devastating fire at the Big Brother house in Johannesburg on September 2.

A press release says M-Net and Endemol have spent the last 48 hours searching both locally and internationally for a venue. The statement says that after exploring all possible options, the team is delighted to announce that the show will go on as a venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month.

The organisers however, have not indicated the date when the show will start.

The organisers say that a multitude of factors have had to be considered including the complex technical requirements, logistics, technical crews and satellite link facilities which have all formed part of the challenge.

However, M-Net says it is delighted to assure all its Big Brother fans that their favourite reality show will launch soon without fail.

The reality show which will see 12 countries participating including Malawi with the exclusion of Rwanda and Sierra Leone at the eleventh hour will see the winner walking away with US$ 300,000.
