Fire has destroyed millions worth of merchandise at Mbayani flea market in Blantyre, Sunday night.
The cause of the fire is said to have started from the market’s hardware section is not yet known.
Reporters after rushing to the scene noticed burnt benches and properties, to which the property owners were desperately trying to put out the fire but to no avail.
The fire at Mbayani market comes after a spate of other yet to be explained fires that gutted Mzuzu market and Tsoka flea market in Lilongwe.
