Three people are in Police custody in Zomba for allegedly being in possession of medical drugs and supplies, contrary to section 35 of the country’s Pharmacy Act.
Zomba Police Deputy Spokesperson, Patricia Supiliyano confirmed of the arrest in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country [Daily Times].
According to Supiliyano, the three were arrested following a tip from the general public, which compelled police to conduct a sweeping exercise in the district.
The three are 34 year old Patrick Mangani from Kamowa Village Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba, George Frank aged 35 of Palasa Village T/A Chikowi as well and 35 year old Gilbet Chipanda also of Palasa Village.
The three will appear in Court soon.
