16 YEAR-OLD BOY DROWNS IN LAKE MALAWI

A 16-year–old boy, Ibra Hassan, last weekend drowned in Lake Malawi in Mangochi.
Mangochi Police spokesperson Rodrick Maida confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press.
According to Maida,the incident happened around midday on Saturday when the deceased went to swim at Mchangani Fishing Beach.
“While in the course of swimming, Hassan went into deeper waters and failed to swim ashore after getting tired,” Maida said.
Hassan hails from Makanjira Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Makanjira in the district.
