Police have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa at his pop-star girlfriend’s home.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper was shot dead late on Sunday at Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus.

The SABC said the two men were being held for questioning after they were arrested in Nongoma, in KwaZulu-Natal.

Police in Johannesburg could not immediately confirm the arrest.

The SABC said the suspects were nabbed following a tip-off by members of the public.

Police have offered a reward of R250 000 for any information leading to the killer’s arrest.

Meyiwa will be buried in Umlazi, his home town, on Saturday.
