Following the pressure from the general public, the government of Malawi through Minister of Finance and Economic Development Goodall Gondwe on Tuesday handed over the Cashgate report on the plundering of public funds which happened during the first reign of Democratic Progressive Party DPP under the late Professor Bingu wa Mutharika to the Speaker of Parliament.
During the start of busines on Tuesday, Speaker of Parliament Richard Msowoya confirmed to have received the report, saying he has referred the report to the Parliament Accounts Committee for scrutiny.
