Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director of Corporate Service Issa Njauju was discovered dead in the capital Lilongwe on Saturday after missing for two days.

His death comes at a time the anti-grafting busting body is embarking on the investigation to the MK92 looting of public funds which happened during the first reign of Democratic Progressive party (DPP) under late Professor Bingu wa Mutharika.

The Malawi Police Service (MPS) have confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press, saying investigations are underway to establish the cause of his death.

Njauju is said to have went missing on Thursday just after knocking off from office and the matter was reported to Police the following day.

According to the eyewitness who confided to Faceofmalawi, Njauju’s vehicle D4D was found burnt to ashes at Kauma in Lilongwe while his body indicated some gunshots.

Njauju hails from Mangochi District.

Meanwhile Police have launched a manhunt for the suspected murderers.
