Police in the capital Lilongwe have foiled what could have been a church robbery by shooting to death one suspected armed robber and arresting four others in the process.
The suspected armed robbers who were in a vehicle were cornered at Bwandilo.
Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Ramsey Mshane confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local media house in the country [ZBS] but denied to give more details on the matter, saying doing so will compromise their investigations on the matter.
Information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicates that the armed robbers were planning to International Christian Assembly of Assemblies of God (popularly known as ICA).
