Well known Zambian musician Clifford Dimba popularly known as General Kanene on Sunday savagely beat up his third wife for allegedly refusing to have sex with him.
The development comes barely days after Zambian President Edgar Lungu pardoned him from prison for sleeping with a teenage girl.
According to an article carried by Lusaka Times, Kanene’s third wife identified as Sharon refused to have sex with Kanene because she was having her periods.
“Close family members narrated the incident in separate interviews that General Kanene took his wife to a named Lodge in Lusaka and demanded that he sleeps with her but she refused because she was having her periods,” the paper reported.
The paper said the development angered Kanene who started beating Sharon forcing her to flee the room, a situation that attracted onlookers.
According to Lusaka Times, the family tried to persuade Sharon to report the matter to the police but she refused.
Meanwhile media reports family members have reported the matter President Lungu.
