Murder suspect and businessperson and losing contestant in Blantyre City South 2014 parliamentary race Ali Saidi Chinemba is at large following an order of arrest issued by the High Court in Blantyre.
An order of arrest has since been circulated to Malawi Police Service (MPS).
Chinemba, popularly known as Ali Kaka, was absent at the commencement of his case’s full trial on Wednesday and today.
His counsel was unable to explain his absence and the case has since been adjourned to until when he is arrested.
The 35-year-old Chinemba is answering murder charges following an allegation that he shot to death 20-year-old Dave Kadzuwa of Chamtulo Village Traditional Authority Namkumba in Mangochi on August 4 2014.
