Police in the capital Lilongwe are keeping in custody a fellow officer on allegations that he sodomised a 16-year-old street kid last month.
Inside sources who confided to the press confirmed of the development and identified the suspect as Enock Chiwanda.
According to the source, Chiwanda was arrested on Saturday after officials from Chisomo Children’s Home in the city, where the victim reported the matter intervened on the matter.
It is said that the officer took the boy to a rest house at Msundwe were he sodomised him.
Chiwanda is expected to appear in Court today for Sodomy charges.
