One person is reported dead while the other one is battling for her life at Mzimba District Hospital after the vehicle that they well travelling in overturned at Chisusu village in the district.

Mzimba Police spokesperson Gabriel Chiona confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press and identified the deceased as Chifundo Joseph Phiri.

According to Chiona, the driver (Chifundo Joseph Phiri) failed to control the vehicle upon reaching Chisusu Village due to overspreading and the vehicle overturn.

Chiona said female victim who is yet to be identified has not sustained serious injuries.

He added that the vehicle is beyond repair.

The deceased hailed from Mbale Village in Mzimba District.
