Death has been announced of Deputy Chief Secretary to Government Willie Samute.
Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) George Mkondiwa has confirmed of the development in a Press statement made available to FaceofMalawi.
According to the statement, Samute passed away shortly before midnight on Wednesday at a South African Hospital.
“We are currently consulting family members on funeral arrangements and the nation will be informed accordingly,” said Mkondiwa in an interview this morning.
