A second year Bachelor of Arts Degree student at the Polytechnic, Suzan Mkwezalamba is failing to continue with her studies due to the tumor diagnosed in her left jaw.

The student who is currently at her home in Domasi, Zomba is in desperate need of money amounting to MK10 million to enable her get specialised treatment for a tumor diagnosed in her left jaw.

At the moment her classmates have formed a committee trying to solicit the said amount of money.

Speaking in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country, Wisdom Mwale, committee chairperson for those Polytechnic students soliciting funds for the cause said , Mkwezalamba has not been well for over a month and requires immediate specialised treatment which is estimated to cost K10 million ($18 485).

“We are appealing to everyone—individuals, families and the corporate world—to donate something so that Suzan gets the required treatment,” Mwale was quoted as saying

Mwale said doctors at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (Qech) and Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre have recommended Mkwezalamba to undergo an operation in South Africa, India or the United Kingdom.
