Malawi Police are still man hunting Murder suspect and business person Ali Chinemba, popularly known as Ali Kaka. Chinemba is still at large a week after the high court revoked his bail.
He is answering murder charges following the shooting and killing of a 20 year old Manja resident, Kadzuwa Banda in 2014. He pleaded not guilty.

The High Court recently issued a warrant of his arrest after he failed to appear at before it on Wednesday 23rd July 2015 for a full commencement of his trial.

The development forced the presiding judge in the case Dorothy Nyakaunda-Kamanga to order for his re-arrest as his council failed to provide relevant information of his whereabouts.

Blantyre police spokesperson Elisabeth Divala denied having the suspect in their cells saying the suspect is still at large.
“We don’t have Mr. Chinemba in our custody here at Blantyre police but you may go ahead and check at the Southern Region Headquarters,” said Divala.

However, Southern Region Police Spokesperson Beatrice Mikuwa also denied having Chinemba under their custody.

Meanwhile, Judiciary Spokesperson Mlenga Mvula only said that the case will resume once the suspect is in custody.
