Cashgate convict Oswald Lutepo has said he will become an ambassador for the fight against corruption and crime in the country once released from jail.

Lutepo said this during a press conference held today outside the Zomba High court premises ahead of his sentencing which is due to start any time from now.

Lutepo was convicted of money laundering and fraud in K4.2 billion public money out of his own plea.

Lutepo has claimed that he is a victim of #Cashgate as he was only used as a conduit to plunder the money from state coffers.

Lutepo says former President Joyce Banda used him and he regrets his involvement and wishes to become an ambassador for goodwill where he will be helping street kids and families whose relatives are in prison.
