The fired opposition People’s Party (PP) provincial chairperson for the north Christopher Mzomera Ngwira has demanded for the immediate resignation of Ken Msonda on the position of director of administration for his role in a meeting held on Friday at Victory Temple in Mzuzu.

Ngwira has accused Msonda of not following the Party procedures in organizing the meeting.

The Party through Msonda and its secretary general Ibrahim Matola on Friday organized a meeting in Mzuzu in redness for the return of Dr. Joyce Banda next month but the meeting was disrupted by thugs allegedly to have been sent by Ngwira.

The development led to the firing of Ngwira and Cliffer Kondowe, accusing them of bringing confusion in the Party.

“Your behaviour when senior party members came to address a meeting in the north on preparations for our party founder and President HE Dr. Joyce Banda’s home coming is a serious misconduct to bring confusion in the party,” reads in part the letter addressed to Ngwira.

The Party has since ordered Ngwira and Kondowe to hand over party materials, vehicles and any other property in their possession within seven days.

Meanwhile two camps have been formed, that of Mzomera Ngwira with Khumbo Kachali and that of Ibrahim Matola, Ken Msonda and Salim Bagasi.
