Rapper 50 Cent has boasted about his new mansion in Africa just weeks after filing for bankruptcy.

The In Da Club hitmaker filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July and undertook a debt education class to manage his assets, which he estimates are valued between between $US10 million ($14.44 million) and $50 million.

To help ease his debts, the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, is planning to rent out his lavish 21-bedroom mansion in Connecticut, but it has now been revealed he is also working on a new property in Africa.

Jackson uploaded a video to Instagram showing workers completing construction in the grounds near a swimming pool.

In the caption, he writes, “My crib is almost finished in Africa. I’m gonna have the craziest house warming party ever. I’ll explain later. I got a good life man.”50 cent mansion

He does not mention on Instagram exactly where in Africa the home is located.
